Missionary Bio

Five years ago, Chris Avila started G3 Experience, an organization aimed at bringing the Gospel to the sports world by reaching coaches and athletes. Working out of Dallas, Chris specifically ministers to FC Dallas (pro soccer team), the US men’s national soccer team and the UFL (overseeing the league). He also serves as a chaplain to teams who come to play the Dallas Cowboys.

Before G3, Chris served with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was a mentor to former Southlake, now a Jacksonville Jaguars’ quarterback, Quinn Ewers.

Chris has the privilege of serving with his wife of 18 years, Kristina, and his three children, ages 13,11, and 10—all heavily involved in their own sports as well as Dad’s ministry. Together Chris and Kristina lead couples’ Bible studies, give pre-marital counseling, and Kristina meets with wives and girlfriends of pro athletes.

Chris was introduced to Bara Church through Joel, who he met several years ago through a mutual FCS friend.

Organization Impact

G3’s purpose is focused on three areas:

GO - giving the Gospel to the sports world

GROW - discipleship for believers

GO - encouraging athletes to use their platform to impact the next generation

Prayer Focus

Pray for the Avila family as they build relationships and share the Gospel with athletes and pray that the pro athletes who know Jesus will be used by Him to impact many young lives.
