Bara Student Ministry
BSM Worship: Passwords & Prayer
This Sunday night BSM is following the call for Bara Church in 2015 to pray. We'll have a great night of worship, fun, games, food and just spending some time praying for all God is going to this year in BSM, our lives, our friends and family. We'll be gathering from 6-7:15pm at the Bradley's (4004 Shrike Trail, Roanoke). Spread the word, invite a friend, and come have a great time! See you there!
If you have any questions about Bara Student Ministries (BSM), please contact our Youth Pastor, Ryan Bradley at Ryan@barachurch.com.
I pray everyone is having a wonderful 2015! Last week the older kids started new curriculum and had so much fun creating churches in shaving cream. This week both classes will learn more about Jesus as a young child which they were all very interested in last Sunday.
Sadly I will also be sharing some heart breaking news about Waylon, a little boy who they have been praying for over the past year. He beat cancer over the summer and unfortunately it has come back. I will take this time to talk to the kids about all the feelings this brings up. We will talk about the power of prayer and why sometimes it seems like our prayers haven't been answered but how God uses EVERYTHING for good and even though it may be hard to understand we have to continue to strengthen our faith and never stop praying. This will happen in the first 15 minutes and parents are welcomed and encouraged to stay and participate in the discussion.
Stay warm, have lots of fun the rest of the week and remember to never stop praying!
Pastor Prayer Partners
In keeping with our Year of Prayer we will kick off Pastor Prayer Partners this Sunday immediately following church service. It will only take about 15 minutes. We need 31 committed prayer partners, one for each day of the week to pray for our Pastor. If you are willing to pray one day a month and commit for one year please meet with us after our Gathering and sign up.
Men’s Conference at The Hills

Groups at Bara
If you are interested in Groups, please indicate that on your communication card and put it in the Offering Basket. The person to contact for groups is Dennis O’Brien: Dennis@barachurch.com.
Arise and Build
If you love accomplishing a lot at one time (think: one stop shopping) then you need to come check out our Arise and Build Prayer Nights every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the BARA offices. In less than an hour, you can praise The Lord for all He is doing in and through Arise and Build while you answer His call to pray audaciously for what is to come and if that wasn't enough: you will get to build new relationships with your BARA family!! One of the sweet byproducts of our Prayer Nights for those of us that have been participating is that we have experienced the joy of getting to know each other better in ways that can only happen by praying and spending time together. Give it a try and see how God can use a time of prayer devoted to building a building to actually build His church! For more information and directions to the Bara Church office click here.
