A word from Pastor Joel
I hope you are staying warm and enjoying the changing of the seasons! Speaking of change, have you checked out the brand spanking new barachurch.com? I want to publicly appreciate Matt Vancil for all the work that he did on this project! He came to me 3 months ago with a dream and it has been so cool to watch him depend on the Spirit and turn that dream into a reality! His talent, humility and tenacity have been such a treat to witness. Seriously, you need to click on over (after you read the Bara Blast of course!) and snoop around the new site! The feedback has been amazing and I know Matt is wide open to suggestions so hit him up at Matt@barachurch.com.
I know I say that I'm excited about Sunday every week, but I cannot tell you how pumped I am for this week! You need to get there early and bring a friend! It is going to be one of the most powerful experiences we've ever had! I wish I could say more, but just come ready to see God move in a big way!
I love you Bara! I'm praying that you know Christ and make him known!
Bara Student Ministry
BSM Evangelism: Whirlyball
This Sunday night, November 16th, BSM is heading to Whirlyball (147 East Harwood Road, Hurtst 76054). This is one of our biggest events. The cost is $10 and that gets you an hour of Whirlyball fun and dinner. EVERY student who wishes to attend MUST fill out a medical release form (click here to get one). There are only a few spots remaining for this event and it's first come first serve so reserve your spot ASAP. We will meet at Byron Nelson High School and leave promptly at 6:15pm. We'd ask that all students be there with everything turned in by 6pm so we can divide into carpools, pray and leave on time. For any other questions, please contact Ryan (email listed below).
For any questions about BSM, please contact Ryan Bradley at Ryan@barachurch.com.
This week in Be Kids we will be continuing our study on the General Epistles and will learn about faith, sanctification and the transforming power of Jesus' love. Wee kids will be learning God will never leave you through the story of Joseph and Potipher.
This Sunday Growing Givers is continuing our Angel Tree. We have adopted 3 amazing angels this year. Please go to the tree and select one or multiple tags containing different gifts the children want and need. Attach the tag to the present and bring back to the children's area UNWRAPPED by November 30th. On the tree table you will also see a list of other small items that we also will be collecting in order to make homeless bags. We appreciate everyone's help and prayers for this incredible event!

Arise and Build
If you love accomplishing a lot at one time (think: one stop shopping) then you need to come check out our Arise and Build Prayer Nights every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the BARA offices. In less than an hour, you can praise The Lord for all He is doing in and through Arise and Build while you answer His call to pray audaciously for what is to come and if that wasn't enough: you will get to build new relationships with your BARA family!! One of the sweet byproducts of our Prayer Nights for those of us that have been participating is that we have experienced the joy of getting to know each other better in ways that can only happen by praying and spending time together. Give it a try and see how God can use a time of prayer devoted to building a building to actually build His church! For more information and directions to the Bara Church office click here.

Daily Bible Reading Plan
One of our Core Commitments is humility, which is a result of bowing before God. One of the ways we submit to God and let Him lead us is to read the Bible daily. To get this week’s reading click here.
